The 12 day trip I had in Uganda with Robert Kungujje will always be one of the, if not THE , most impactful trips I have ever taken. In 12 days, I saw just about all of UGANDA, I saw the big five wild animals, a rhinoceros reserve, a chimpanzee reserve, one of the many gorilla reserves in Western UGANDA, multiple species of birds, insects, butterflies, plants, it was a trip that overwhelmed the census. Robert picked wonderful accommodations, very comfortable, wonderful meals, we never lacked for comfort in the entire trip. He knows his country, he knows Birders in all areas, I believe Uganda is a hidden gem that has not been discovered by most Americans. I strongly, and I emphasize strongly, recommend that you make UGANDA your destination for a central/East African birding trip. You will love the people, you will love the countryside, you will love the fauna and flora .
